Psychotherapy for Anxiety and Depression

Psychotherapy, a way to feel better

I help people who are struggling with feeling stuck, lost, or burnt out. Stuck with the way their lives look at the moment, how the feel, with their jobs or careers, or in their relationships.

And struggling is hard, I get it, I really do! Struggling is human and we struggle despite being competent, well-meaning, high achievers.

When my clients first come to therapy, they feel overwhelmed, they may “freeze”, feel numb, or unmotivated. They feel unable to perform tasks they were once able to, unable to create a balance in their life, prioritize self-care, and rest. They wonder why things aren’t going the way they imagined they would.

Negative self-talk keeps them in spirals of self-blame and self-doubt. They are unknowingly very hard on themselves. The voices in their heads constantly find others to compare themselves to. As days pass, regret grows for time that has been lost procrastinating instead of taking action to achieve what they want.

But feeling stuck is not their fault. Finding solutions sometimes requires an outside view. Like you, my clients have tried many different ways to help themselves feel better. They have even thought of therapy before, but now they feel ready to try something different and take charge of their lives to make positive changes for their present and future.

We all deserve to feel well. We all deserve to thrive. My mission is to help you learn to get to know yourself well, to understand your thought patterns, the behaviors they cause, and help you acquire the tools necessary to make positive changes to build the life that you want.

Schedule a consultation appointment today and take the first step in moving towards feeling better and achieving your goals.

I help people who are struggling with feeling stuck, lost, or burnt out. Stuck with the way their lives look at the moment, how the feel, with their jobs/careers, or in their relationships.

Struggling is hard, I get it, I really do! Struggling is human and we struggle despite being competent, well-meaning, high achievers.

When my clients first come to therapy, they may feel overwhelmed to the point of freezing, feeling numb, being unmotivated to perform tasks they were once able to. Or they may feel so overwhelmed that they are unable to create balance, prioritize self-care, and rest. They wonder why things aren’t going as they “should” or how they had always imagined they would.

Negative self-talk keeps them in spirals of self-blame or self-doubt. They are hard on themselves, the voices in their heads constantly blame them for not feeling like “they are supposed to”, not living the life that they want, comparing themselves to others, or for not being able to feel better despite many efforts.

My clients tell me they have tried many different ways to help themselves, they have even thought of therapy before, but now they feel ready to try something different and take charge of their lives to make positive changes for their present and future.

Life does not have an instruction manual. Societal pressures and conventional or expected ways of living can cause confusion. Choosing what to do next is no longer as straightforward as it was in school or college, we no longer have a roadmap to help us know what to do next.

We all deserve to feel well. We all deserve to thrive. My mission is to help you learn to get to know yourself well, to understand your thought patterns, the behaviors they cause, help you acquire the tools necessary to make positive changes to build the life that you want for yourself.
